Tesla launches Full Self-Driving in Lithuania

STOCKHOLM, ‌May ​20 (Reuters) - ​Tesla said on X on Wednesday that its Full Self-Driving (Supervised) ‌driver assistance software was being rolled ⁠out in Lithuania, the second country in ‌Europe to do so ‌after Dutch approval last month.

• Dutch regulator RDW is seeking EU-wide acceptance, but ​other member states can recognise the Dutch approval and allow the ⁠system to be deployed.

• The Lithuanian Transport Safety Administration ​confirmed Lithuania has recognised the Dutch certification.

• Belgium was expected to be ​the first country ‌to follow the Dutch as an authorisation process had started ⁠in the Flanders region where one Tesla car is testing FSD on roads.

• ⁠The Greek transport ministry said on Wednesday it ​had an upcoming bill granting the same type of approval as the Dutch.

• Dutch RDW ‌tested the system for over 1 1/2 years on a ‌test track and on public roads ⁠before granting approval.
