Symrise says U.S. Department Of Justice drops antitrust probe

Feb 9 (Reuters) - ⁠Symrise ⁠AG ‍said on Monday that investigations ‍against it in U.S. ​antitrust proceedings by the ​Department of Justice have been dropped.

The German fragrances and flavours ​maker said no unlawful anti-competitive ​conduct on the part of Symrise ‌had been established.

Symrise as well as peers ​Givaudan, Firmenich - ⁠which has merged with DSM - and ‌International Flavors & Fragances came under scrutiny from ‌competition regulators in 2023 ‌on suspicion of anti-competitive agreements.

Last October, IFF agreed to ‍pay $26 million to resolve parts the ⁠case.
