LONDON (Reuters) - British foreign minister David Cameron said on Tuesday an investigation by the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) into the Rafah air strikes must be "swift, comprehensive and transparent", again calling for a pause in fighting.

Apple's iPhone sales in April jump 52%, data shows May 28, 2024 04:46AM

BEIJING (Reuters) - Apple saw its iPhone sales jump 52% in April from a year earlier, Reuters calculations based on industry data showed on Tuesday.

Overall smartphone sales in China increased by 25.5% to 22.7 million units, data from the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT) showed.

Influx of Syrians pushes German naturalisations to record level May 28, 2024 04:33AM

BERLIN (Reuters) - Germany granted citizenship to a record number of people last year, due largely to a jump in the number of Syrians who qualified for a passport after fleeing their country around a decade ago, the Federal Statistics Office said on Tuesday.

Overall, some 200,100 foreigners were naturalised last year, a 19% rise from the previous year and the highest level since records started in 2000.
