LONDON (Reuters) -Britain has sent its first asylum seeker to Rwanda under a voluntary scheme, The Sun Newspaper reported on Tuesday, saying the unnamed migrant was flown out of the country on Monday.
The voluntary scheme is separate to a forced deportation programme that Britain is about to embark on in the next few months, seeking to deter asylum seekers from crossing the English Channel in small boats to live in Britain.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) said on Tuesday it has terminated a 2017 memorandum of understanding with the Federal Trade Commission that had shifted some oversight of broadband service providers.

(Reuters) - The U.S. Department of Justice is moving to make marijuana use a less serious crime, taking a step to reclassify the drug out of a category that includes heroin.
Reclassifying marijuana represents a first step toward narrowing the wide policy chasm between state and federal cannabis laws, with the drug legal in some form in nearly 40 states.

(Reuters) - Shares of cannabis companies surged on Tuesday afternoon after the U.S. Department of Justice (DoJ) moved to reclassify marijuana as a less dangerous drug.
U.S.-listed shares of Cronos Group, Tilray Brands and Canopy Growth rose between 10.9% to 52%. ETF AdvisorShares Pure US Cannabis soared 21%.

BOGOTA (Reuters) - Colombia's President Gustavo Petro said on Tuesday that a nationwide inventory of military weapons showed over a million bullets, thousands of grenades and some missiles were missing from military bases, blaming corruption for the lost weapons.
