Feb 9 (Reuters) - ⁠Europe took a ⁠step ‍to strengthen its hand in the global chip race on Monday as Belgian research firm imec opened "NanoIC", a 2.5 billion ‍euros ($2.95 billion) pilot line aimed at developing ultra-advanced semiconductors under the ​EU's Chips Act.

Eritrea calls Ethiopia's accusations of military aggression 'deplorable' Feb 9, 2026 06:17AM

NAIROBI, Feb 9 (Reuters) - Eritrea ⁠on Monday rejected ⁠accusations ‍by Ethiopia that it was responsible for military aggression and was backing armed groups inside Ethiopian territory as "false and ‍fabricated", calling the claims part of a hostile campaign ​by Addis Ababa.

Symrise says U.S. Department Of Justice drops antitrust probe Feb 9, 2026 06:11AM

Feb ⁠9 (Reuters) - ⁠Symrise ‍AG said ‍on Monday ​that investigations ​against it in U.S. antitrust proceedings ​by the ​Department of Justice ‌have been dropped.

The German ​fragrances and ⁠flavours maker ‌said no ‌unlawful anti-competitive conduct ‌on the part of Symrise ‍had been established.

NAIROBI, Feb 9 (Reuters) - Uganda's Information ⁠Minister Chris Baryomunsi ⁠condemned a ‍military raid on opposition leader Bobi Wine's home last month, telling Reuters that the popstar-turned-politician had not committed any crime and was free to return there.
