Oct 15 (Reuters) - Southwest Airlines has revamped its 2027 loyalty program to include multiple tiers, it said on Thursday, as the carrier looks to enhance benefits and reward its affluent travelers.
Here are some more details:
• The Dallas-based carrier said, beginning January 1, its current "A-List" and "A-List Preferred" tiers will become "Silver" and "Gold", respectively, along with a new "Platinum" tier
• Southwest also said Rapid Rewards credit card holders will earn one tier qualifying point for every dollar spent on eligible purchases beginning in 2027
• Starting spring 2027, members would be able to earn and redeem points through international airline loyalty partnerships with Icelandair, China Airlines and Etihad Airways
