South African president removes social development minister

JOHANNESBURG, ‌May ​14 (Reuters) - ​South African President ‌Cyril Ramaphosa on ⁠Thursday removed ‌Sisisi Tolashe from ‌the position of minister ​of social development.

He ⁠appointed Sindisiwe Chikunga, ​minister in the presidency for women, ​youth ‌and people with disabilities, ⁠as acting social ⁠development minister pending ​a full-time appointment, Ramaphosa's office said ‌in a statement.
