S&P 500, Nasdaq opens lower on Oracle AI spending jitters

Dec ⁠11 (Reuters) - The ⁠S&P ‍500 and the ‍Nasdaq opened lower on ​Thursday as fresh ​worries over Oracle's hefty AI spending plans overshadow optimism ​over a less hawkish tone ​from the Federal Reserve.

At ‌09:30 a.m. ET, the Dow Jones Industrial ​Average was ⁠up 97.04 points, or ‌0.21%, to 48,157.04, the S&P ‌500 lost 29.36 points, or ‌0.42%, to 6,857.45 and the Nasdaq Composite ‍lost 171.04 points, or 0.71%, ⁠to 23,485.26.
