S&P 500, Nasdaq opens lower as Broadcom adds to AI bubble angst

Dec ⁠12 (Reuters) - The ⁠S&P ‍500 and the Nasdaq ‍opened lower on ​Friday as Broadcom's ​latest results added to concerns about an AI-fueled bubble, ​dampening optimism stoked by the ​Federal Reserve's less-hawkish-than-expected signals on ‌2026 rate cuts.

At 09:30 a.m. ET, ​the Dow ⁠Jones Industrial Average rose 102.80 ‌points, or 0.21%, to 48,806.81, ‌the S&P 500 lost ‌10.85 points, or 0.16%, to 6,890.37 and the ‍Nasdaq Composite lost 105.00 points, ⁠or 0.43%, to 23,491.12.
