CONAKRY (Reuters) - People living near a chimpanzee research centre in Guinea attacked the facility on Friday after a woman said one of the animals had killed her infant, the centre's managers said.
An angry crowd ransacked the building, destroying and setting fire to equipment including drones, computers and over 200 documents, the centre's managers said.

GAZA/CAIRO (Reuters) -Palestinians said an Israeli strike killed at least 22 people in a school sheltering displaced people in southern Gaza City on Saturday, while the Israeli military said the attack targeted a command centre of militant group Hamas.

BUDAPEST (Reuters) - Hungarian intelligence services have conducted several interviews with the CEO of BAC Consulting, a Budapest-based company linked to deadly explosions of pagers used by Hezbollah members this week, the Hungarian government said on Saturday.

TAIPEI (Reuters) - A 5.3 magnitude earthquake struck Taiwan's sparsely populated east coast county of Hualien on Saturday, the island's weather administration said, with no immediate reports of damage.
The quake shook buildings in the capital, Taipei. It had a depth of 17 km (10.6 miles), the weather administration said.
Taiwan lies near the junction of two tectonic plates and is prone to earthquakes.
