Rocket Lab says CEO's account on X compromised
(Reuters) - Rocket Lab CEO Peter Beck's account on X has been compromised and the company is working with the social media platform to restore it, the rocket maker said on Wednesday.
The company, which has a market value of about $6.5 billion, makes the Electron rocket, making it a key player in the small satellite launch market.
A post on X, appearing to have come from his account, touted a new Ethereum-based token to fund space-theme projects.
"Peter's account has been compromised, so this is not an official tweet. We are working with X to restore it," a spokesperson for the company said in an emailed statement to Reuters.
