Rebuilding after Hurricane Helene will take years, US DHS secretary says

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The process of rebuilding after Hurricane Helene will be extremely costly and take years, U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said on Tuesday.

Search and rescue operations are still going on in some areas, Mayorkas told reporters at the White House.
