Railroad operator Norfolk Southern's quarterly profit rises

(Reuters) -Norfolk Southern reported a rise in its second-quarter profit on Tuesday, aided by higher revenue from improved volumes.The East Coast railroad operator's quarterly adjusted profit rose to $3.29 per share, from $3.06 per share a year earlier.
