Pope arrives for first visit to United States

E-mailJOINT BASE ANDREWS, Maryland (Reuters) - Pope Francis, fresh off his trip to Cuba, arrived by plane at a military base outside of Washington on Tuesday to begin his first visit to the United States.
President Barack Obama was due to greet the pontiff at Joint Base Andrews in Maryland on the overcast and windy afternoon.
