Peru's economic growth slows to 1.75% in June

E-mailAug 15 (Reuters) - Peru's economy expanded 1.75% in June compared to the same month last year, slowing from the prior month, data from the South American nation's INEI statistics agency showed on Saturday.
June's data landed just below the 1.8% growth recorded in May, when officials said activity was impacted by the El Niño weather pattern which has particularly hurt the fishing sector, as warmer Pacific waters push fish into deep waters.
