SAN JOSE, California, Feb 1 (Reuters) - The New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks arrived in San Jose, California, on Sunday to begin weeklong preparations for Super Bowl LX in nearby Santa Clara.
The Patriots touched down first, with players and coaches exiting their plane to partly sunny skies. The Seahawks arrived approximately 90 minutes later after a send-off parade of fans in cloudy Seattle.
Both teams are scheduled to meet with the media on Monday during Super Bowl Opening Night, the traditional start to game-week festivities.
The Seahawks are returning to the Super Bowl for the first time since falling to New England in the championship game 11 years ago. The Patriots, considered underdogs in this matchup, are pursuing a record seventh Super Bowl title and their first since 2019.
The Super Bowl kicks off on February 8 at 6:30 p.m. ET (2230 GMT).
