Feb 20 (Reuters) - U.S. steelmaker Nucor said on Friday it has appointed insider Jack Sullivan as its new finance chief, effective March 1.
Sullivan, currently vice president and treasurer overseeing investor relations, will succeed Steve Laxton, who took over as president and chief operating officer at the start of the year.
The incoming CFO, joined Nucor in 2022 as general manager of investor relations and was elevated to his current role last year.
Prior to Nucor, Sullivan worked at Duke Energy for 13 years, after nearly a decade in corporate and investment banking at Bank of America.
Last month, Nucor missed fourth-quarter profit and revenue expectations as rising costs pressured margins in its steel-producing segments.
