WASHINGTON (Reuters) -Billionaire Elon Musk, who serves as a top adviser to President Donald Trump, will visit the Central Intelligence Agency on Monday to discuss government efficiency with director John Ratcliffe, a spokesperson said on Friday.
The CIA has fired a slew of recent hires amid the Trump administration's massive federal workforce reductions, which are being overseen by Musk and his Department of Government Efficiency.
Musk recently visited the Department of Defense, where his businesses have a number of contracts, for a meeting with Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.
The New York Times reported that Musk would be briefed at the Defense Department on secret war plans for China, something that Trump and others denied. Musk called the report "pure propaganda" and urged legal action against leakers.
