(Reuters) - U.S. stock index futures edged higher on Monday, pointing to more gains on Wall Street, as traders priced in a higher chance of the Federal Reserve cutting interest rates this year.
The benchmark S&P 500 and the blue-chip Dow closed at three-week highs on Friday after data showed U.S. job growth slowed more than expected in April, taking pressure off the U.S. central bank to keep rates higher for longer.

HONG KONG (Reuters) - Chinese provinces are urging companies to offer women flexible job roles called "Mama's Posts" that make it easier to balance work and childcare, the official Xinhua news agency said on Monday.
Authorities are trying to encourage more women to have children after China's population fell for a second consecutive year in 2023 and births touched a record low.

(Reuters) - An upcoming shareholder vote at Denny’s Corp could pressure the company to set targets for reducing its use of pork from suppliers that keep pregnant pigs in tight confinement, called gestation crates.
