Meta bans TikTok from advertising on its apps, Bloomberg News reports

Oct 8 (Reuters) - Meta banned advertisements in the US from ByteDance, the Chinese parent company of TikTok, Bloomberg News reported on Thursday.
Meta began implementing a complete restriction on ads and paid marketing messages placed on its platforms by ByteDance, with the ban taking effect in the US, Canada, Egypt, Indonesia, Japan, Thailand and Vietnam, the report said citing the company.
Reuters could not independently verify the report. Meta did not immediately respond to a Reuters request for comment.
