KUALA LUMPUR (Reuters) -Malaysia's foreign minister Mohamad Hasan on Wednesday urged all parties in conflict-stricken Myanmar to create a conducive environment for an election.
Mohamad was addressing a meeting of Association of Southeast Asian Nations' foreign ministers in the Malaysian capital. It was unclear whether his remarks indicate ASEAN chair Malaysia is endorsing the planned election in military-ruled Myanmar, which it has previously said should not be prioritised over peace.
