Brazil inflation hits 5.3%, central bank set to hold rates next week Jul 25, 2025 09:49AM

SAO PAULO (Reuters) -Brazil's inflation remained well above the central bank's target range in its mid-July reading, official data showed on Friday, as policymakers gather next week for a meeting at which they are widely expected to hold interest rates at a two-decade high.

BENGALURU (Reuters) -The Bank of Canada will hold its overnight interest rate steady at 2.75% on July 30 for the third consecutive meeting thanks to a recent rise in inflation and a fall in unemployment, according to a Reuters poll of economists that still found many expect at least two more cuts this year.
