Canada's steel import duties violate WTO rules, says China Jul 18, 2025 01:38PM

OTTAWA (Reuters) -The Chinese embassy in Ottawa criticized duties slapped by Canada this week on Chinese imported steel, saying on Friday they violated World Trade Organization (WTO) rules and disrupted the global trade order.

Clothing tech entrepreneur charged with $300 million fraud in US Jul 18, 2025 01:37PM

NEW YORK (Reuters) -A prominent entrepreneur who founded the now-bankrupt clothing technology startup CaaStle was criminally charged on Friday with defrauding investors out of more than $300 million, the U.S. Department of Justice said.

Slovenia passes assisted dying law Jul 18, 2025 01:04PM

SARAJEVO (Reuters) -Slovenia approved a law to allow assisted dying on Friday, joining an increasing number of countries giving terminally-ill adults the right to end their lives if they face unbearable suffering with no expectation of improvement.
