SAO PAULO, April ‌14 (Reuters) - Brazil's ​leftist ​President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva is narrowly ahead of right-wing ‌Senator Flavio Bolsonaro in a potential runoff ⁠in the October presidential election, a CNT/MDA poll ‌showed on Tuesday.

* The survey ‌showed Lula with 44.9% of the votes in arunoff, compared with 40.2% for ​Flavio Bolsonaro, the son offar-right former President Jair Bolsonaro. * In a first‑round poll ⁠in which respondents were asked whothey would vote for if ​the election were held today, Lula was at28.7% support versus 16.6% for ​Flavio Bolsonaro. * The CNT/MDA poll ‌contrasts with several recent surveysthat have shown the two candidates statistically ⁠tied in arunoff. * Recent polling shows Lula's earlier lead is narrowing,with Flavio Bolsonaro gaining support after ⁠receiving publicbacking from his father, who is under ​house arrest. * Over the weekend, a Datafolha poll showed the youngerBolsonaro with 46% of the vote in ‌a runoff, compared with 45%for Lula. * CNT/MDA interviewed 2,002 people from ‌April 8-12 in 140Brazilian municipalities. The survey's ⁠margin of error ‌is 2.2percentage points ​in either direction.
