India's industrial output rises 1.5% in June Jul 28, 2025 06:43AM

NEW DELHI (Reuters) -India's industrial output grew 1.5% year-on-year in June, government data showed on Monday.

Economists polled by Reuters projected a growth of 2%. Industrial output grew at a revised 1.9% year-on-year in May.

Russia opens criminal case over Aeroflot cyberattack Jul 28, 2025 06:27AM

MOSCOW (Reuters) -Russian prosecutors on Monday opened a criminal investigation into unauthorised access to computer systems at Aeroflot, the Prosecutor General's office said, after the airline blamed an IT failure for the cancellation of dozens of flights.

The prosecutor's office said there had been "a failure in the operation of the Aeroflot information system as a result of a hacker attack".

US LNG producers soar as EU agrees to $250 billion in annual purchases Jul 28, 2025 06:27AM

(Reuters) -Shares of U.S. liquefied natural gas developers surged in premarket trading on Monday, after the European Union pledged to purchase $750 billion worth of the super-cooled fuel over the next three years as part of a sweeping trade pact.

NextDecade, Venture Global, and Cheniere Energy jumped between 7% and 8.8%, with the deal bolstering the prospects for American LNG exporters as they expand to meet growing demand for cleaner-burning fuels.

ACCRA (Reuters) -Ghana has deployed more soldiers to a northeastern region where a long-running conflict over chieftancy has fuelled recent violence, including attacks on schools, a spokesperson for President John Dramani Mahama said.
