Japan's August jobless rate rises to 2.6%

TOKYO (Reuters) -Japan's jobless rate in August rose to 2.6% from 2.3% in July, government data showed on Friday.
Economists' median forecast was for 2.4%.
The jobs-to-applicants ratio in August inched down to 1.20 from 1.22 in the previous month. The median forecast was 1.22.
