SEOUL (Reuters) - North Korean leader Kim Jong Un on Tuesday oversaw a tactical missile weapons system that will be newly installed at missile units of its army, state media KCNA reported on Wednesday.

Kim expressed satisfaction with missile system production in the first half of the year and emphasized it was important to carry out this year's military production plan, saying it would bring a breakthrough in the military's readiness for war.

(Reuters) -A large wildfire is slowly approaching the major Canadian oil sands city of Fort McMurray and around 6,000 people in four suburbs have been told to evacuate, local officials said on Tuesday.

The fire, fueled by tinder dry conditions and high winds, has been threatening the city in the western province of Alberta since last week. It is now about 13 km (8 miles) away to the south west.

BOGOTA (Reuters) -A video released over the weekend of Colombian rebel commander Ivan Marquez, who had reportedly died last year, is real, defense minister Ivan Velasquez said on Tuesday.

Marquez, the well-known leader of a faction of former Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) rebels who returned to arms after rejecting a 2016 peace deal with Colombia's government, was thought to have died in Venezuela.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) -The U.S. Justice Department said late on Tuesday that Boeing Co had breached its obligations in a 2021 agreement that shielded the planemaker from criminal prosecution over fatal 737 MAX crashes in 2018 and 2019 that killed 346 people.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A pair of U.S. banking regulators announced on Tuesday they would be hosting a public meeting on July 19 to solicit input on the proposed acquisition of Discover Financial Services by Capital One Financial Corporation.

The Federal Reserve and Office of the Comptroller of the Currency also announced they were extending the public comment period on the pending $35 billion deal to July 24, 2024.
