NEW YORK, ‌April 30 (Reuters) - ​JPMorgan ​Chase has hired Chris Mihok from ‌Keefe, Bruyette & Woods as a ⁠managing director to cover banks, ‌expanding the team covering ‌financial institutions, a spokesperson said on Thursday.

Mihok will ​report to Clay Robinson and Andrew Spicehandler, who ⁠lead North America banks. He will start ​in early July, the spokesperson said.

JPMorgan was one of ​the financial ‌advisors to Britain's Schroders, which is being taken ⁠over by U.S. asset manager Nuveen for 9.9 billion ⁠pounds ($13.4 billion) in a deal that ​ends the 222-year-old London firm's independence.

JPMorgan also advised U.S. regional lender ‌Webster, which Spain's Santander is buying in ‌a $12.2 billion deal.

Bloomberg earlier ⁠reported the ‌hiring of ​KBW's Mihok.
