Islamic State claims responsibility for attack on Chinese-run restaurant in Afghanistan

CAIRO, ⁠Jan ⁠19 (Reuters) - ‍Islamic State claimed ‍responsibility on Monday ​for an attack ​on a Chinese-run restaurant in a hotel ​in Kabul.

An explosion ​tore through the restaurant ‌in a heavily guarded part of ​Afghanistan's ⁠capital on Monday, killing ‌a Chinese national and ‌six Afghans and ‌injuring several others, including a child, ‍officials said.
