(Reuters) - The nation's largest oil trade group, which includes Exxon Mobil and Chevron , will file a federal lawsuit on Thursday seeking to block the Biden administration's efforts to reduce planet-warming emissions from cars and light trucks and encourage electric vehicle manufacturing, the group said.

Soccer-Malaysian footballer Faisal calls for justice after acid attack Jun 13, 2024 05:03AM

KUALA LUMPUR (Reuters) - A Malaysian footballer who was critically injured after being splashed with acid last month said on he hopes his assailants can be brought to justice swiftly.

In his first public appearance since the May 5 attack, a visibly scarred and emotional Faisal Halim told a press conference that he would focus on his recovery before attempting a return to soccer.

European auto stocks fall further on concerns over China's tariff response Jun 13, 2024 05:03AM

MILAN (Reuters) - Some of Europe's biggest carmakers fell further on Thursday on concerns over how China will respond to new tariffs the European Commission slapped on imported Chinese electric cars in a bid to combat what they say is excessive subsidies from Beijing.

Rouble swings to opaque trading territory after new US sanctions Jun 13, 2024 05:00AM

MOSCOW (Reuters) - New U.S. sanctions that forced Russia's leading exchange to halt dollar and euro trading led to a range of varying prices and spreads as trading moved over-the-counter (OTC) on Thursday, obscuring access to reliable pricing for the Russian currency.

The rouble fell to a one-month low of 91.7455 against the dollar in very low liquidity on the interbank market.
