ICC confirms it has issued arrest warrant for Duterte ally

THE HAGUE, ‌Netherlands May ​11 (Reuters) - ​The International Criminal Court on Monday ‌confirmed it had issued an ⁠arrest warrant for a longtime ‌ally of former Philippine ‌president Rodrigo Duterte, accusing senator Ronald dela Rosa ​of crimes against humanity for overseeing Duterte's war ⁠on drugs.

"This arrest warrant against Mr Ronald ​Marapon Dela Rosa was issued confidentially, under seal, by ​Pre-Trial Chamber ‌I of the ICC on 6 November 2025. ⁠The ICC is currently in the process of unsealing ⁠the warrant of arrest. We will ​circulate to this group as soon as available," the ICC said ‌in a statement.
