HONG KONG, Feb 20 (Reuters) - Hong Kong's seasonally adjusted unemployment rate rose to 3.9% in the November to January period, up from 3.8% in the previous three-month period, the government said on Friday, with increases mainly in the insurance, construction and financing sector
"The sustained growth momentum of the Hong Kong economy should help buttress the overall labour market," Chris Sun, secretary for labour and welfare, said in a statement, adding some sectors may continue to be under pressure amid their challenging operating environments.
The unemployment rate for October-December, September-November and August-October periods were steady at 3.8%.
