Haitian transitional presidential council appoints new prime minister
PORT-AU-PRINCE (Reuters) - Haiti's transitional presidential council appointed entrepreneur and former senate candidate Alix Didier Fils-Aime as Haiti's new prime minister on Monday, according to the official gazette.
He replaces Garry Conille, who was named prime minister in May. The shakeup is the latest blow to political stability in the country, which has endured worsening violence.
