BERLIN (Reuters) -Germany expects the EU's plan for an 18th sanctions package against Russia to be adopted this week, a government spokesperson said in Berlin on Monday.
"It will now be raised at ambassadorial level and reconsidered after a visit by the Commission to Slovakia later this week," said German government spokesperson.
The European Commission on June 10 proposed a new round of sanctions against Russia for its invasion of Ukraine more than three years ago, targeting Moscow's energy revenues, banks and military industry.
