German inflation confirmed at 2.7% y/y in May

FRANKFURT, ‌June ​12 (Reuters) - ​German inflation ‌eased slightly to ⁠2.7% ‌in May, the ‌federal statistics office ​said on ⁠Friday, confirming preliminary ​data.

Inflation, or the gain in ​consumer ‌prices harmonised to ⁠compare with ⁠other European Union ​countries, stood at 2.9% ‌year-on-year in April.
