German apartment building permits rise 30% in July as sector steadies

FRANKFURT (Reuters) -Permits to build apartments in Germany rose 30% in July from a year earlier, statistics office data showed on Thursday, as the nation's troubled property industry shows signs of stabilisation.

The level in July a year earlier was the lowest for that month since 2009.
