French inflation confirmed at 0.7% in December

Jan 15 (Reuters) - Consumer prices in France rose 0.7% year-on-year in December, statistics office INSEE said on Thursday, matching the preliminary reading published earlier this month and a Reuters poll of analysts.
The EU-harmonised inflation rate in the bloc's second biggest economy accelerated slightly in December, compared with the November reading of 0.8%.
