Former Iraq PM Maliki rejects US interference after threat

Jan ⁠28 (Reuters) - Iraq's ⁠former ‍Prime Minister Nouri ‍Al-Maliki said on Wednesday ​that he rejects ​U.S. interference in Iraq's internal affairs, after U.S. President ​Donald Trump threatened to cut ​off support to the ‌country if Maliki was picked as prime ​minister.

"I will ⁠continue working until we ‌reach the end, in a ‌manner that serves the supreme ‌interests of the Iraqi people," he said ‍in a post on X.
