Fire at oil refinery in Russia's Volgograd extinguished, authorities say
(Reuters) -A fire at a Lukoil oil refinery in Russia's Volgograd region has been extinguished, local authorities said on Thursday evening.
Earlier, officials said the blaze was triggered by debris from a Ukrainian drone.
Ukraine's military said its drones struck the refinery overnight, causing large fires at a facility it claimed was supplying Russian forces.
Russia's defence ministry said air defence systems had intercepted and destroyed 44 Ukrainian drones overnight, including nine over Volgograd region.
