TAIPEI (Reuters) -Taiwan and the U.S. have completed talks on tariff technicalities and have reached consensus on issues including non-tariff trade barriers, with the result pending the U.S. decision-making process, Taiwan's cabinet said on Thursday.

OSLO (Reuters) -Norway's Aker ASA said on Thursday it is partnering with Nscale Global Holdings and OpenAI to build an artificial intelligence facility in northern Norway, aiming to install 100,000 NVIDIA chips by the end of 2026.
The partnership, called Stargate Norway, will use 100% renewable energy to power the AI facility, Norwegian conglomerate Aker said in a joint statement with Nscale and OpenAI.

(Reuters) -The Bank of Japan kept interest rates steady on Thursday and raised its inflation forecast for the current fiscal year, signalling cautious optimism that Japan's trade deal with the U.S. would help the economy avert a steep downturn.
