HAMBURG, Germany (Reuters) - The European Central Bank should be careful not to miss the right moment to tweak its policy stance, Bundesbank President Jens Weidmann, one of the ECB's top critics, said on Friday.

Weidmann's comments come after the ECB kept its ultra easy policy unchanged on Thursday and said it would likely decide in October whether to extend its 2.3 trillion euro asset purchase scheme or start winding it down.
