Denmark's Queen Margrethe admitted to hospital

COPENHAGEN, ‌May ​14 (Reuters) - ​Denmark's Queen Margrethe, ‌86, was admitted to hospital ⁠due to ‌angina on Thursday, ‌the royal court said.

"Her Majesty ​is tired, but ⁠in good spirits," the ​court said in a statement.

The queen, ​who ‌abdicated in 2024 and ⁠passed the throne to ⁠her firstborn son Frederik, ​will remain hospitalised over the weekend ‌for observation and further ‌examinations, ⁠it added.
