SYDNEY (Reuters) - Citigroup has appointed Harish Raman as the head of its equity capital markets (ECM) execution, origination and solutions business for Asia North, Asia South and Australia, according to a memo seen by Reuters on Monday.
Raman will also retain his current title as the head of equity capital markets syndicate for Asia, the memo said.
He replaces Udhay Furtado who is leaving Citigroup after six years with the bank in Hong Kong to relocate to Singapore with his family.
Raman has been with Citigroup since 2011, the memo said, and previously was the head of Asia equity-linked origination at UBS.
Kenneth Chow remains Citigroup's head of Asia North, Australia and Asia South for ECM origination and products.
A Citigroup spokesperson confirmed the contents of the memo.
