BEIJING, Dec 24 (Reuters) - China ‍said on Wednesday that ‍it opposed the United States' "indiscriminate use of tariffs" and "unreasonable suppression" of Chinese industries when asked about Washington's plan to impose tariffs on Chinese semiconductor imports.

China urges ‌the U.S. to correct its "wrong practices", and will take measures to safeguard its ‌legitimate rights and interests if the ‌U.S. persists in its ‌actions, Lin Jian, a spokesperson for China's foreign ‍ministry, said at a regular press briefing.
