BEIJING, ‌March 17 (Reuters) - China's coast guard on ‌Monday warned and drove away ‌a Japanese fishing ‌boat that "intruded" into waters near the Diaoyu Islands, it said on Tuesday.

China has said it patrolled the Japan-administered islands in the ‌East China Sea almost daily last year, aiming to secure its sovereignty over the remote, rocky outpost and ‌to deter Taiwan from taking ‌steps toward ‌independence.
