China's Xi visits Xinjiang for region's founding anniversary

BEIJING (Reuters) -China's President Xi Jinping arrived in Urumqi on Tuesday to attend events marking the 70th anniversary of Xinjiang's founding as an autonomous region, state-run news agency Xinhua reported.
