China's DeepSeek resolves issue briefly affecting its AI reasoning model

(Reuters) -China's DeepSeek said on Monday an issue impacting its advanced R1 artificial intelligence reasoning model was resolved after a brief outage.
The outage hit its application programming interface (API) and web chat service.
APIs are strings of code that enable standardized communication, exchange of data and functionality between software components.
