Brazil's Braskem elects Petrobras CEO as new chair

SAO PAULO, ‌April ​30 (Reuters) - ​Shareholders of Brazilian petrochemical ‌firm Braskem elected a new ⁠board of directors on ‌Wednesday, naming state-run ‌oil company Petrobras' CEO Magda Chambriard ​as chair, the meeting minutes show.

The ⁠move comes after conglomerate Novonor ​signed a deal last week to sell ​its controlling ‌stake in Braskem to private ⁠equity fund Shine I, controlled by ⁠asset manager IG4 Capital.

Petrobras holds ​47% of Braskem's voting shares and 36.1% of ‌its total shares.
