Brazil's Azul appoints ex-Embraer CFO Garcia in finance reshuffle

SAO PAULO, April 6 (Reuters) - Brazilian airline Azul said on Monday that Chief Financial Officer Alex Malfitani will step down on April 20, with Embraer's Antonio Carlos Garcia set to assume the role.
* Malfitani was one of Azul's founders. * Garcia served as CFO at planemaker Embraer, whichannounced his resignation earlier on Monday. * Embraer added that CEO Francisco Gomes Neto will assumethe CFO position on an interim basis. * Following the announcements, shares in Azul rose about1.6%, while Embraer shares were up around 1%. * Brazil's benchmark stock index Bovespa gained 0.4%.(Reporting by Isabel Teles; Editing by Toby Chopra)
