Brazil's Azul appoints ex-Embraer CFO Garcia in finance reshuffle

SAO PAULO, ‌April ​6 (Reuters) - ​Brazilian airline Azul said on ‌Monday that Chief Financial ⁠Officer Alex Malfitani will ‌step down on ‌April 20, with Embraer's Antonio Carlos ​Garcia set to assume the role.

* Malfitani ⁠was one of Azul's founders. * Garcia ​served as CFO at planemaker Embraer, whichannounced ​his resignation earlier on ‌Monday. * Embraer added that CEO Francisco ⁠Gomes Neto will assumethe CFO position ⁠on an interim basis. * Following the ​announcements, shares in Azul rose about1.6%, while Embraer ‌shares were up around 1%. * Brazil's benchmark ‌stock index ⁠Bovespa gained ‌0.4%.
